Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 44:1-157, the amount to be paid by the
city toward the necessary and reasonable burial expenses for a deceased
indigent person is not to exceed $1,200. The actual amount to be paid,
up to $1,200, shall be determined by the Municipal Director of Welfare.
