Any employee of the City of Atlantic City who is entitled to
or shall become entitled to compensatory time in lieu of payment for
overtime and who shall be deprived of an opportunity to receive the
benefit of said compensatory time, due to his or her election to public
office, shall receive monetary compensation for such compensatory
time of which he or she has been deprived.
The aforesaid monetary compensation shall be computed on a straight-time
basis as of the date of his or her election to public office.
