No person shall discharge any gun, pistol, firearm or other
weapon using cartridges or gunpowder for ammunition within the limits
of the City. This section shall not be applicable to the use and discharge
of any firearm or weapon by any person, officer or official authorized
pursuant to the laws of this state or of the United States or pursuant
to other ordinances of the City.

Any person who violates any provision of this article shall,
upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding $2,000
or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days, or both.
