For the purposes of this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
BUS
Those vehicles capable of holding 15 or more passengers, which passengers originate outside of the City of Atlantic City.
STOPPING or STANDING
Any cessation of movement of a bus, whether occupied or not, except in compliance with the directions of a police officer or traffic control sign or signal.
Buses within the boundaries of the City of Atlantic City are not permitted to stop or stand with their engines running or idling in excess of five minutes, except when involved with loading or discharging passengers.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction in the Municipal Court of the City of Atlantic City, be punished for each offense by a fine not to exceed $2,000 or by imprisonment for any term not exceeding 90 days in the county jail or in any place provided by the municipality for the detention of prisoners, or both, in the sole discretion of the Municipal Judge.
