A. 
The City of Hoboken will not purchase products containing, in whole or in part, wood from tropical forests or temperate rainforests, excepting those woods that are proven to have been harvested in an environmentally sound manner in accordance with the guidelines set forth in Appendix A.
B. 
The City will not allow the use or purchase of products containing, in whole or in part, wood from tropical forests or temperate rainforests by any entity using monies provided by the City of Hoboken for fulfillment of contracts or purchasing agreements, or on leased properties belonging to the City.
For outdoor applications, the City shall first consider durable recycled plastic lumber.
