GENERAL REFERENCES

The Township Committee ratifies the Personnel Policy Manual previously promulgated pursuant to a resolution duly adopted by the Township Committee. The Township Committee may amend the Personnel Policy Manual pursuant to the procedures herein established.
The Personnel Policy Manual shall, in a manner consistent with federal, state, and Township law, set forth in regulation form Township policies and procedures relating to the following areas:
A. 
Appointment, discipline, and termination of Township employees;
B. 
Rights and duties of Township employees as to hours of employment, vacations, leave, compensation, and other terms and conditions of employment;
C. 
Such other information as may be advisable in assisting employees in understanding their rights, duties, and responsibilities in the conduct of their employment.
To amend the Manual, the Township Committee shall approve such amendment by resolution adopted not less than 30 days before the amendment is to become effective. If in the public interest such amendment shall be necessary to be effective in less than 30 days, the Township Committee may, by two-thirds vote of its full authorized membership, permit the amendment to become effective not less than 10 days thereafter. Notice of such amendment in writing must be distributed to Township employees within five days of adoption of such resolution.
The Township Clerk shall provide each employee with a copy of the Personnel Manual, as amended, upon hiring of such employee.
