The matter of numbering the houses and vacant property of the annexed portion of the Borough of Ambridge shall be as follows:
A. 
One hundred numbers to be assigned to each block or section as shown on plan submitted by Borough Engineer; a number to be assigned to each 20 feet of frontage abutting on the streets, roads and avenues, but in case of improved property, a number will be assigned to each doorway; north and south streets, roads or avenues shall be numbered as follows: even numbers on the right-hand side and odd numbers on the left-hand side going north.
B. 
The southeast corner of Valley Road at each north and south street to be numbered 98 and, measuring southward, each 20 feet of frontage to be assigned a lower number.
C. 
The northeast corner of Valley Road at each north and south street to be numbered 100 and, measuring northward, each 20 feet of frontage to be assigned a higher number taking the even 100th number at east and west street as follows:
(1) 
The northeast corner of Second Alley and northeast corner of Glenwood Road between Second Alley and Glenwood Road to lot number 702 at each north and south street to be numbered 200.
(2) 
Northeast corner of Third Street at each north and south street to be numbered 300.
(3) 
Northeast corner of Charles Street at each north and south street to be numbered 400.
(4) 
Northeast corner of Fifth Street at each north and south street to be numbered 500.
(5) 
Northeast corner of Sixth Street at each north and south street to be numbered 600.
(6) 
Northeast corner of Bryden Road at each north and south street to be numbered 800.
(7) 
Northeast corner of Ninth Street at each north and south street to be numbered 900.
(8) 
Northeast corner of Tenth Street at each north and south street to be numbered 1000.
(9) 
Northeast corner of Eleventh Street at each north and south street to be numbered 1100.
(10) 
Northeast corner of Twelfth Street at each north and south street to be numbered 1200.
(11) 
Northeast corner of Thirteenth Street at each north and south street to be numbered 1300.
(12) 
Northeast corner of Fourteenth Street at each north and south street to be numbered 1400.
(13) 
Northeast corner of Fifteenth Street at each north and south street to be numbered 1500.
(14) 
Northeast corner of Sixteenth Street at each north and south street to be numbered 1600.
D. 
East and west streets, roads and avenues will be numbered as follows:
(1) 
Even numbers on the right-hand side and odd numbers on the left-hand side, going eastward. The southeast corner of Beaver Road, Merchant Street and Duss Avenue and each east and west street from Big Sewickley Creek to Charles Street to be numbered 500.
(2) 
The southeast corner of Duss Avenue and each east and west street between Fifth Street and northern Borough line to be numbered 700 and, measuring eastward, each 20 feet to be assigned a higher number changing to 600 at southeast corner of Locust Street and 700 at southeast corner of Glenwood Road, 800 at the southeast corner of Elm Road and the northeast corner of Beaver Road at Sixth Street and Eighth Street and southeast corner of Lenz Street, 900 at southeast corner of Pine Street and the southeast corner of Beaver Road from Ninth Street northward to Borough line.
(3) 
Glenwood Road between Second Alley and lot number 702 to be numbered as Second Street and Glenwood Road north of lot number 702 to be called Wilson Avenue and be numbered as a north and south street, beginning with 200. Streets, lanes and avenues laid out in the future to be numbered in accordance with the above plan.
The Borough Engineer, under the direction of the Street Committee, shall prepare a plan showing the number of the present buildings and unoccupied frontages and file the same with the Secretary of Council, who shall furnish the proper number to each resident or property owner when called upon to do so.
Numbers shall be placed on all buildings and shall not be less than three inches in height.
Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $1,000 plus costs and, in default of payment of said fine and costs, to a term of imprisonment not to exceed 30 days. Each day that a violation of this chapter continues or each section of this chapter which shall be found to have been violated shall constitute a separate offense.
