[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Liverpool 2-10-1986 as Section 6 of L.L. No. 2-1986 (Ch. 44 of the 1987 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]

Every owner or occupant of every building in the Village of Liverpool shall have placed thereon, in a place visible from the street or highway, figures at least 3 1/2 inches in height, of the number assigned to the property by the Planning Board of the Village of Liverpool and of a color contrasting with the color of the building such that the numbers are clearly legible from the adjacent street or highway, showing the number of said building.
This chapter shall take effect on July 1, 1986, for existing buildings, and on February 10, 1986, for all new construction.

The Code Enforcement Officer is hereby designated to administer and enforce this chapter.

Any person who shall fail to install the assigned street address identification required by § 133-1 above, upon written order of the Code Enforcement Officer, shall be punishable as provided in § 1-12 of Chapter 1, General Provisions, for each offense, and each week that such violation continues shall constitute a separate offense.
