Under no circumstances will any of the following be connected
to the sanitary sewers, directly or indirectly:

Floor drain, area drain or yard drain.
B.Â
Rain conductor or downspout.
C.Â
Grease pit.
D.Â
Air-conditioning equipment.
E.Â
Stormwater inlets or catch basins.
F.Â
Drains from a piece of equipment or manufacturing process, except
when specifically authorized under the provisions of this chapter.
G.Â
No cesspool, privy vault, subsoil or cellar drains, rainwater or
surface drains shall be connected with the sewer system or any part
thereof. Only the sewerage system of the premises shall be so connected.
A.Â
Mandatory connections. Each owner of premises located on streets
in which sewers are available shall connect all sewerage facilities
on such premises to the sewer system immediately upon such sewerage
facilities becoming available and use such sewerage facilities at
all times for sewerage disposal therefrom.

Alteration or repairs to sewer system or connections. No alteration
or repair to any part of the sewer system or any connection thereto
shall be made, except by duly authorized representatives or employees
of the Township, without application for such having been made to
the Township and approved and upon compliance with the rules and regulations
of the Township relating thereto.
C.Â
Sight tees on new connectors. All new lateral connections to the
Township sanitary sewer shall provide a sight tee and clean out at
a point two feet behind the curb to provide easy observation and determination
of responsibility for sewerage blockage.
Each owner of premises connected to the sanitary sewer system
shall be responsible for the maintenance, repair or replacement of
sewer laterals from the structure generating the sanitary or waste
flow to and including the connection to a Township-owned and -maintained
sanitary sewer having a dimension of eight inches in diameter or larger.
