Coasting is hereby prohibited upon all streets, ways, lanes, avenues or roads or parts thereof within the City of Gardner, except those expressly designated from time to time by the City Council.

No person shall ride upon any portion of a vehicle not designated or intended for use of passengers. This provision does not apply to an employee engaged in the necessary discharge of his duty or to a person riding within truck bodies in space intended for merchandise.

For the purpose of trial, the City Council may make temporary rules regulating traffic or test, under actual conditions, traffic signs, signals, markings, or other devices. No such temporary rule relating to traffic shall remain in effect for a period longer than 120 days.
