(See Schedule Oc-1, § 263-76C.)
In the event the Utility becomes aware of an overbilling of a customer, the Utility shall promptly correct the billing error and notify the customer of the circumstances surrounding the overbilling. The Utility shall then determine the time period during which the overbilling occurred. In making this determination, the Utility shall apply Public Service Commission (PSC) rules and Utility rules and tariffs.
Once the Utility has determined the period of overbilling, the Utility shall calculate the amount that it has overbilled the customer. The Utility shall then make a refund to the customer of the amount of the overbilling, together with interest as calculated pursuant to § PSC 113.0406(8), Wis. Adm. Code.
Except as otherwise provided in § PSC 113.0407, Wis. Adm. Code, the maximum refund to the customer shall be for a time period not to exceed six years from the date the overbilling was discovered pursuant to § 893.93(1)(a), Wis. Stats.
All overbilling disputes arising under this section shall be taken to the PSC for resolution.
