Editor's Note: This ordinance also repealed former Ch. 309,
Fireworks, adopted 12-7-2005 as Title 7, Ch. 6, of the 2005 Village Code, as amended 7-11-2012.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated in this section:
The definition of "fireworks" stated in § 167.10(1),
Wis. Stats., is hereby adopted by reference.
The following uses are the only permitted uses of fireworks
within the corporate limits of the Village of Argyle:
A.
The Village,
except that Village fire officials shall be notified of the proposed
use of fireworks at least two days in advance.
B.
The possession
or use of explosives in accordance with rules or general orders of
the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
C.
The disposal
of hazardous substances in accordance with rules adopted by the Wisconsin
Department of Natural Resources.
D.
The possession
or use of explosive or combustible materials in any manufacturing
process.
E.
The possession
or use of explosive or combustible materials in connection with classes
conducted by educational institutions.
Violations of any section of this chapter shall be subject to the general penalty provisions of § 1-2 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Argyle.
