Borough of Waterford, PA Chapter 17 Enactment of Legislation

§ 17-1 Signature required.

All bylaws, rules, regulations and ordinances shall be presented in writing signed by some member.[1]

§ 17-2 Noting of approval or veto.

The approval or veto of every bylaw, rule, regulation or ordinance, together with the date thereof, shall be noted and inscribed on the margin of the Council Minute Book immediately opposite the title or first section thereof by the Mayor.

§ 17-3 Transcription into Borough Ordinance Book.

Every bylaw, rule, regulation or ordinance regularly enacted shall immediately be transcribed into and indexed in the Borough Ordinance Book, the same to be there approved by the Mayor and attested by the Secretary and to take effect and be of full force as soon as properly published and said publication is certified by the Secretary.

§ 17-4 Publishing in newspaper.

Every proposed ordinance or resolution of legislative character shall be published in accordance with Section 1006(4) of the Borough Code, 53 P.S. § 46006(4), as amended, which publication when so made shall be certified by the Secretary in the Borough Ordinance Book immediately following the enactment.
