The provisions of this article shall apply except when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or official traffic control device.
Wherever a space shall be marked off for the parking of an individual vehicle on any street, highway, public parking lot or private parking lot that is open to the general public, every vehicle there parked shall be parked within the lines or markings bounding such space.
The parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited at all times in those streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XIII (§ 155-48).
The stopping of vehicles is hereby prohibited in those streets or parts of streets prohibited in Schedule XIV (§ 155-49).
The standing of vehicles is hereby prohibited in those streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XV (§ 155-50).
The parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited in those streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XVI (§ 155-51) during the hours indicated.
The parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited in those streets or parts of streets for a longer period of time than that specified during the hours indicated in Schedule XVII (§ 155-52).

A. 
The standing or parking of vehicles, except for the express purpose of loading or unloading of merchandise and goods, is hereby prohibited in the locations designation Schedule XVIII (§ 155-53).
B. 
Student loading zone. No vehicle shall stop, stand or be parked in an area marked as a student loading zone unless it is actually engaged in the loading or unloading of passengers. An area shall be marked as a loading zone by the erection of signs bearing the words "No Parking — Student Loading Zone." The locations described in Schedule XVIIIA (§ 155-53.1). attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as loading zones.
No person shall park a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XIX (§ 155-54) except at the angle designated and only within the painted white stall lines.
The locations described in Schedule XX (§ 155-55) are hereby designated as bus stops, and the parking or standing of vehicles other than buses is hereby prohibited in such locations.
The locations described in Schedule XXI (§ 155-56) are hereby designated as taxi stands, and the parking or standing of vehicles other than taxis is hereby prohibited in such locations. Taxis using such stands shall not be left unattended and shall be subject to all other vehicle and traffic regulations of the Village.
A. 
The Police Department may, in times of emergency or when necessity requires, prohibit the parking of vehicles on any street, avenue or property hereinbefore or hereinafter referred to where such parking, in its opinion, would interfere with snow or ice removal or repairs to the street or might endanger the public in the use of any such street, avenue or property, and the posting of printed notices in the area affected shall be sufficient notice to the public of such fact, and all persons shall comply therewith.
B. 
The Police Department or its duly authorized agents shall attach to any vehicle parked in violation of any provision of previous Subsection A, except when a vehicle is towed away as provided herein, a notice to the owner or operator thereof instructing such owner or operator to report to the police station of said village in regard to such violation.

The stopping, standing or parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited in the parking spaces marked and designated as "Fire Department Parking Only" in the municipal parking lot of the Storm King Engine Company located on Hudson Street.

The parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited in the following described parts of the municipal parking lot for a longer period of time than that specified during the hours indicated:

150 feet south of River Avenue, containing approximately 25 parking spaces
Four-hour limit during the hours 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; unlimited thereafter
Balance of lot, containing approximately 25 parking spaces
Eight-hour limit during the hours 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; unrestricted thereafter

Stopping, standing and parking prohibited in Water Department facilities, Maple Avenue. The stopping, standing or parking of vehicles other than Village Water or Department of Public Works vehicles, or employee vehicles, is hereby prohibited anywhere on the Water Department garage facility located on Maple Avenue.
