[Ord. 524, 12/31/1991; as amended by Ord. 551, 12/18/1996,
§ I]
The identified floodplain area shall be those areas of the Township,
which are subject to the one-hundred-year flood, as shown on the Flood
Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) which accompanies the Flood Insurance Study
(FIS) prepared for the Township by the Federal Emergency Management
Agency, dated December 19, 1996, or the most recent revision thereof.
[Ord. 524, 12/31/1991]
The identified floodplain area may be revised or modified by
the Board of Commissioners where studies or information provided by
a qualified agency or person documents the need for such revision.
However, prior to any such change, approval must be obtained from
the Federal Insurance Administration (FIA).
[Ord. 524, 12/31/1991]
Should a dispute concerning any identified floodplain boundary
arise, an initial determination shall be made by the Township Planning
Commission; and any party aggrieved by this decision may appeal to
the Board of Commissioners. The burden of proof shall be on the appellant.
