No person, except the duly authorized officials of the Town of Webb and Old Forge-Thendara Water District or the agents, representatives or employees thereof, or other authorized public officials engaged in the performance of water district duties, including the enforcement hereof, shall trespass upon or over the water of Independence Lake, lying approximately four miles northerly of Old Forge, for any purpose whatsoever, nor upon any lands bordering and adjacent thereto within 275 feet of the shoreline thereof, nor shall any person in any manner whatsoever contaminate or pollute the waters of any tributary to Independence Lake.
Any violation of this article shall be a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine not exceeding $1,000 or imprisonment not exceeding one year, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
