No person or persons shall in any manner, without permission, connect or disconnect or tamper or interfere with the sewer facilities of the Township, including but not limited to pipes, conduits, meters, valves, instruments or other accessories or property.
A. 
Sump pumps. It is a violation for any person or user of the sewer facilities to connect or discharge, by any means, into the sewer system, any materials, chemicals or drainage other than sanitary sewerage. The Director shall serve notice to such persons or users to cease and desist from any activities in violation of this subsection.
B. 
Broken lines. The Director shall also serve notice to any customer having a broken service line that causes infiltration into the sewer facilities of the Township to repair same no later than 10 days from service of the notice pertaining to such broken service line.
C. 
No person shall cause willful or malicious damage to any part of the sewer facilities, or cause or permit any acid, chemical or any other substance that may cause damage to the sewer facilities or sewerage flow.
D. 
No person shall drain rain or surface water, or water from any cellar or excavation, into the sewer facilities.
E. 
No person shall connect or cause to be connected a leeching line or drain of any kind, which includes any basement or garage drains or lines, to any storm drainage system of the Township, or to any drainage system that connects to the Township's storm drainage system unless written permission has been granted in advance by the Township Engineer.
F. 
No person shall directly or indirectly place any material or substance in any form into the Township's storm drainage system, except for storm water.
Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of this chapter or any succeeding ordinances or resolutions pertaining to the subject matter of this chapter which might be enacted or adopted shall be punished in accordance with the penalty provision established by § 1-5 of the Code of Delran Township.
