A three-day nonrenewable permit (permit of use) will be required for conducting a garage sale or yard sale. Permits may be extended because of inclement weather.
Merchandise bought for the express purpose of resale is prohibited.
There shall be a limit of two separate three-day garage sale, tag sale or yard sale permits per year.
Sales shall be between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. only.
The permit is automatically revoked should any Village of Red Hook police officer, any other police officer empowered by the State of New York or a Village official state in writing that the garage sale, tag sale or yard sale is creating an unsafe traffic condition.
The application fee shall be $5.
