Village of Clayton, WI Article III Water Meters

[Adopted at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. II)]

§ 502-17 Standards for installation.

For all new construction to be serviced by the Village water system and for all meters henceforth installed in the Village, the following shall be deemed standards for the installation of the water meter:

A. All meters shall be a minimum of 16 inches above the floor with shutoff valves above and below the meter.

B. All meters shall be provided with a backflow-prevention system below the meter (between the meter and the water main).

C. All of said installation costs shall be borne by the contractor or owner.

§ 502-18 Failure to comply.

Failure to comply with this article shall subject the owner to the Village conducting such work at its own expense and charging it as a special tax against the property.
