GENERAL REFERENCES
Property maintenance — See Ch. 272.
It is the intention of this chapter to attempt to preserve certain historical structures, presently privately owned, located in the Township.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
HISTORICAL STRUCTURE
Includes the structures and lands upon which it is situated and specifically shall be the Engle property, located on Twig Lane, at Block 1136, Lot 1, of the Township Tax Map; the Kennedy property, located on Rancocas Road, at Block 111, Lot 59; the Hansel property, located on Manor Lane, at Block 538, Lot 21; and the McCrane property, located on Bridge Street, at Block 1128, Lot 20.
In the event that the owner or any other person having a legal right to demolish an historical structure shall decide to demolish or cause the demolition of that historical structure, the owner and other person shall first notify, in writing, the Department of Community Development of this intention, at least two months prior to the actual intended demolition. The notice shall contain the following:
A. 
The name and address of the owner and, if appropriate, such other person who shall actually demolish.
B. 
The historical structure to be demolished.
C. 
The date of intended demolition.
D. 
If the owner and, if appropriate, such other person are willing to sell the historical structure to the Township and, if so, the purchase price.
Any person violating the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be punishable as provided in Chapter 1, Article II, General Penalty.
