There is hereby created the position of an Assistant Municipal Treasurer for the Township of Riverside.
The duties of the Assistant Municipal Treasurer shall be assisting the Municipal Treasurer in supervising and performing the work involved in the disbursement, accounting and auditing of funds received and disbursed, the negotiation of loans and the sale of bonds; doing related work as required.
The following qualifications are required to be appointed to position of Assistant Municipal Treasurer:
A. 
Graduation from a four-year course at a college of recognized standing with a major course of study in accounting.
B. 
Four years of varied accounting experience in work involving the installation, operation and keeping of large scale systems of accounts.
C. 
A thorough knowledge of the principles, methods and procedures used in modern accounting and auditing, of the laws, rules and regulations governing the installation, operation and keeping of accounts and their application to specific situations, and of the preparation of involved and detailed accounting and other financial reports containing findings, conclusions and recommendations; must be actively pursuing or possess qualifications for a certified municipal finance officer certificate.
D. 
Ability to analyze complex financial problems; to give suitable assignments and instructions; to prepare suitable reports; and to direct the establishment and maintenance of extensive financial and related records and files.
E. 
Good health and freedom from disabling physical and mental defects which would impair the proper performance of the required duties of which might endanger the health and safety of oneself or others.
