The Director of Public Works and the Public Works Foreman be and are hereby empowered and directed to post signs upon any public street and alley in the Township of Riverside giving notice of the intention of the Township to clean such streets and alleys. Such signs and notices shall be posted at least 12 hours prior to said street cleaning operations and shall state the day and hours when said street cleaning shall take place and that the ranking or parking of motor vehicles during said days and hours is prohibited.
The ranking or parking of motor vehicles between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. prevailing time, on Fridays of each week, is prohibited on either side of the following streets in said Township: Scott Street, Pavilion Avenue, Bridgeboro Street, Lafayette Street and Fairview Street, between Washington Street and Pavilion Avenue.
Upon the posting of such signs as hereinabove provided, the ranking or parking of motor vehicles during the days and hours and on the streets or alleys upon which said signs are posted shall be deemed unlawful and a violation of this article.
In the event of failure or refusal of the owners or operators of such motor vehicles to remove them in accordance with the terms of said notice, the Director of the Department of Streets and Roads, the police officers of this Township and any of its employees, agents and servants may and hereby are empowered to remove said motor vehicles to such place or places as may become necessary in order to carry out the objectives and purposes of this article. The cost of such removal, if any, is to be borne by the owners of said motor vehicles.
