Board of Health rules and regulations — See Ch. 137.
A Board of Health is hereby established in and for the Borough
of Hanover, in accordance with the provisions of Article XXXII of
the Borough Code, as added by the Act of 1947, P.L. 1621.[1] The Board of Health shall have general supervision over
sanitary conditions within the Borough and shall perform all the duties
and may exercise all the powers vested by law in Boards of Health
in Boroughs. It shall be the duty of the Borough Council to maintain
the Board of Health at full membership, by appointment of new members
as necessary to fill vacancies caused by the expiration of terms,
death, removal from the Borough or other cause. Provided: The tenure
of the members of the present Board of Health of the Borough shall
not be affected by this chapter.

Ordinance No. 154, approved the seventh day of May 1908, and
entitled "An Ordinance establishing a Board of Health and dividing
the Borough of Hanover into Health Districts in accordance with the
Act of Assembly approved May 11, 1893," is hereby repealed.
