Streets and sidewalks — See Ch. 316.
Henceforth, the streets and highways of said Borough shall be lighted at the expense of said Borough during the night or such portions of the night as the Borough Council of said Borough shall from time to time by resolution prescribe, by means of electricity, gas, gasoline, kerosene or other systems of illumination, as said Borough Council may from time to time prescribe.
The said Borough Council shall make contracts for the lighting of the streets and highways of said Borough, as aforesaid, with any individual or corporation desiring to furnish light for such purpose, upon the best terms obtainable for the kind of light prescribed by said Borough Council, but no such contract shall be for a longer term than 10 years.
Said contracts for the lighting of the streets and highways of said Borough shall be executed in the corporate name of the Borough of Hanover by the Mayor of said Borough, and the Secretary of the said Borough Council shall affix thereunto the Corporate Seal of the Borough of Hanover, attested by the said Secretary.
