It shall be the duty of the owner or owners, lessor or lessee, tenant and/or occupant of any residence, business or building to display and maintain the proper identification within 30 days after enactment of this chapter.
It shall be the duty of the owner or owners, lessor or lessee, tenant and/or occupant of any residence, business or building now in course of erection or hereafter erected within the Borough of Verona to display and maintain the proper identification in close proximity to the door facing the street prior to occupancy as authorized.
The identification shall be placed on the front door or entrance or on another part of the residence, business or building such as mailbox, lamppost or other location in close proximity thereto.
Said proper identification shall be in letters or numbers and shall be legible and clearly identifiable from the background upon which they are mounted. Said identification letters shall be a minimum size of three inches.
In the event any owner or owners, lessor or lessee, tenant and/or occupant refuses or neglects to adhere to the terms of this chapter after 30 days, a citation shall be issued subjecting such owner or owners, lessor or lessee, tenant and/or occupant to a penalty of $100 per day, which penalties shall continue to accumulate until such time as the violation is corrected.
