There shall be a Veterans' Services Director, who shall
be appointed by the Mayor, pursuant to MGL c. 115, § 10,
and work under the general direction of the Human Resources Director.
A.
The Veterans' Services Director shall furnish information, advice
and assistance to veterans relative to employment, vocational education,
hospitalization, medical care, pensions and other benefits to which
they are or may be entitled.
B.
The Veterans' Services Director shall also serve as the Burial Agent
and Graves Officer, who shall be responsible to see that every veteran's
grave is suitably kept and cared for, in accordance with MGL c. 115,
§ 9.
