The procedure for each applicant desiring to obtain approval and acceptance of streets and roads into the municipal road system in the Township of Jackson, in the County of Ocean, which shall apply to all streets, avenues and roads constructed under and in accordance with the requirements of the Subdivision Ordinance[1] of the Township of Jackson and all amendments and supplements thereto, shall be as follows:
A. 
Application shall be made in writing on forms provided by the Township of Jackson, and said application shall contain the following information:
(1) 
The name of the development or subdivision and the title and filing date of the map of the subdivision or development.
(2) 
The names of the streets or roads and the description giving the extent and limit of each street or road which the Township is being requested to accept.
(3) 
A description of the performance bonds, if applicable, covering the improvements to be constructed in the development.
(4) 
Maintenance bonds in accordance with the provisions of the Subdivision Ordinance.[2]

B. 
The request for acceptance shall be referred by the Township Committee to the Township Engineer and Superintendent of Public Works for investigation and report. The aforesaid request may only be made after all construction in conjunction with the development or subdivision has been completed.
C. 
Upon receipt of a favorable report and recommendation from both the Township Engineer and the Superintendent of Public Works, the Township Committee may accept the designated streets into the Township road system.
D. 
If the developer has posted a performance bond, either in the form of a surety bond, cash or its equivalent, he may make written request for cancellation of the bond and/or the return of the cash deposit after the project has been completed and accepted by the Township of Jackson.

The Township of Jackson shall supply the forms upon which the application referred to in the preceding section shall be made, in order that all of the applications shall be in standard form.
