[Adopted 1-7-1997 as § 6-6 of the 1996 Revised General Ordinances]
A code regulating the use, operation and maintenance of food
and beverage vending machines and licensure thereof; prohibiting the
sale or possession with intent to sell through vending machines of
adulterated or misbranded foods or drinks; authorizing inspection
of vending machines and operations connected therewith; and fixing
penalties for violations hereof is hereby established pursuant to
N.J.S.A. 26:3-69.1 et seq. A copy of the code is annexed to this chapter
and made a part of it without the inclusion of the text.
The code established and adopted by this chapter is described
and commonly known as the "Food and Beverage Vending Machine Code
of New Jersey (1961)."
Three copies of the Food and Beverage Vending Machine Code of
New Jersey (1961) have been placed on file in the offices of the Health
Officer and the City Clerk for the use and examination of the public.
The Health Officer and any other official authorized by the
Board of Commissioners shall have the responsibility for the enforcement
hereof.
