There shall be established in the Borough of Trainer a system for the numbering of the houses, other structures and lots.
The Borough Engineer of the said Borough of Trainer is hereby authorized and directed to prepare a system for the numbering of the houses, other structures and lots. The said system shall be prepared for the entire Borough or for any part or parts thereof as the Engineer from time to time may deem advisable. The Borough Engineer is further authorized and empowered, in his discretion, to provide that the numbers on those streets which are continuations of streets in the City of Chester be in accordance with numbers and system of numbers now in use in the said City of Chester.
After the preparation by the Engineer of the system of numbering as herein provided for, it shall be the duty of the Building Inspector of the said Borough of Trainer in respect to houses, other structures or lots to which numbers have not been assigned to assign a number therefor upon the request of the owner or occupant of the said property. The Building Inspector in the performance of his duty shall assign such numbers in conformity with the system of block numbers as prepared by the Borough Engineer and adopted by Council.
