1980 Code of Ordinances)]
Henceforth, the Borough of Mount Union shall provide for and
defray all the cost of hospitalization insurance for each employee
of the Borough who retires from his employment with the Borough because
of physical or mental disability or infirmity. The hospitalization
insurance so provided shall be limited to that which is afforded active
employees under such master hospitalization insurance plan as is from
time to time maintained by the Borough, all of the costs of such hospitalization
insurance being defrayed by the Borough of Mount Union.
Such hospitalization insurance shall be provided only for an
employee who has been certified to be unable to perform his employment
with the Borough or employment of a like nature for any other employer

medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Hospitalization insurance shall be provided for any disabled
and retired employee of the Borough only until such employee is eligible
or qualified to receive hospitalization under the Medicare plan or
similar hospitalization plan provided by the United States of America

Employment for any length of time in any one month shall constitute a credit of one month for the purpose of computing said employee's eligibility for the benefits herein provided (ยงยงย 65-1 to 65-5 of this chapter).
The Borough of Mount Union shall provide the benefits herein
set forth for any employee of the Borough who is disabled and retired
as of the date of adoption of this article.
