The office of elected Borough Auditor for the Borough of Mount Union is hereby abolished.
By resolution each year, the Borough Council of the Borough of Mount Union, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, shall appoint an independent auditor, who shall be a certified public accountant registered in Pennsylvania, a firm of certified public accountants so registered or a competent public accountant or a competent firm of public accountants, who shall make an independent examination of the accounting records of the Borough for the fiscal year for which such auditor is appointed and perform the other duties and exercise the powers as conferred upon Borough auditors by Subdivision (k) of Article XI of the Borough Code.[1] Such independent auditor shall be appointed by resolution passed by the Borough Council before the close of each fiscal year for the succeeding year.
