GENERAL REFERENCES
Streets and sidewalks — See Ch. 288.
It shall be unlawful for any person, association, firm or corporation to conduct any parade upon any street in the Borough of Mount Union without first having obtained a permit, which shall be obtained from the Mayor without payment of a fee.
Application for a permit as set forth in § 221-1 hereof shall be made to the Mayor at least 14 days prior to the proposed parade and shall set forth the following information:
A. 
Name of sponsoring person, association, firm or corporation.
B. 
Date and time of proposed parade.
C. 
Proposed parade route.
D. 
Estimated duration of parade.
Any person, association, firm or corporation who or which violates the provisions of this chapter shall, upon summary conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $300, and costs of prosecution, or, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to undergo imprisonment for not more than 10 days.
The provisions of this chapter may be waived or excused by the Mayor or Chief of Police upon the occurrence of a spontaneous community celebration, as in the case of an athletic victory celebration, or upon the exercise of his or their administrative discretion.
