Pursuant to the authority vested in the County Board of Supervisors
under § 83.01(2), Wis. Stats., from and after the effective
date of this article, the County Highway Commissioner shall serve
an indefinite term of office. Thereafter, the incumbent shall serve
until his/her death or resignation and shall be subject to removal
for cause by the County Board of Supervisors as set forth in § 17.10(2),
Wis. Stats. Highway Commissioners shall be elected to the position
upon a majority vote of the County Board of Supervisors.
