Pursuant to the provisions of Public Safety Article § 12-203,
Minimum Livability Code, of the Annotated Code of Maryland, Chapter
192, Housing Standards, Part 1, Housing Code, of the Kent County Code,
establishing regulations for minimum property maintenance standards,
minimum requirements for residential structures and premises, responsibilities
of property owners, operators, and tenants, the administration thereof,
and penalties for noncompliance, as now or hereafter amended, is hereby
passed and adopted and made part of this Code by reference, except
such provisions as are otherwise specified in this chapter.
A.
Enforcement of this chapter shall devolve to the Town Administrator
of Galena, or to the designee of the Town Administrator, in all instances
where Chapter 192, Housing Standards, Part 1, Housing Code, of the
Kent County Code, indicates County Commissioners have the duty and
responsibility of enforcement.[1]
Chapter 192, Housing Standards, Part 1, Housing Code, of the
Kent County Code, as amended and adopted by the Mayor and Council
of the Town of Galena, will hereafter be referred to as the "Galena
Livability Code" and may be so cited.

If the Galena Livability Code, as adopted by the Mayor and Council, conflicts in any way with the provisions of Chapter 131, Property Maintenance, of the Town Code, this chapter shall take precedence and shall control.
