GENERAL REFERENCES
Licenses and permits — See Ch. 233.
No person or persons shall erect or keep or permit to be erected, placed or kept upon his or their premises within the limits of the Village of Randolph any billiard table, pool table or bowling or ten-pin alley used or kept for hire without first having obtained a license therefor as provided in this chapter.
All applications for such licenses under this chapter shall be made to the Village President and Village Board of the Village of Randolph, who may grant or refuse to grant such license as they may deem best for the good order of the Village; each such license shall expire on the 30th day of June following the date of its issue. Whenever the Village Board shall grant a license pursuant to this chapter, it shall give to the person or persons applying for such license a certificate of the same signed by the President and Clerk-Treasurer to be delivered to the Village Clerk-Treasurer. The Village Clerk-Treasurer is hereby prohibited from receiving money for such license from any person who does not present and surrender such certificate to him, signed by the President and Clerk-Treasurer.
Each license issued under this chapter shall be signed by the Village President and Village Clerk-Treasurer and shall be sealed with the Corporate Seal of the Village. No license shall be issued until the person applying for the same shall present to the Village Clerk-Treasurer the receipt for payment to the Village of the license fee herein provided. No license issued pursuant hereto shall be assignable or inure to the benefit of any other than the person to whom such license shall be issued originally. The license fee for each such billiard table, pool table or bowling or ten-pin alley shall be as set by the Village Board.
