Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 55:13A-7.1, every hotel and multiple dwelling shall be equipped with smoke detectors or smoke alarms, or both, in conformance with the rules and regulations of the Commissioner of the Department of Community Affairs.
The enforcement of such installations shall come under the jurisdiction of the Code Enforcement Officer of the Borough of Lindenwold and the Uniform Construction Code Act of the State of New Jersey.[1]

Any person who violates any of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to the penalties as set forth in Chapter 1, § 1-1, of this Code.
