the 1981 Code)]
There is hereby created the office of Assistant Prosecutor in
and for the Borough of Lindenwold, whose duties shall be to aid the
Prosecutor in presenting and prosecuting all manner of traffic, quasi-criminal
and criminal matters in the Municipal Court of the Borough of Lindenwold
and such other courts, including the preparation and presentation
of any appeals from that Court in courts of higher jurisdiction. These
duties shall also include advising and consulting with the Police
Department in the preparation of these cases, as well as being available
to the police and other departments and public to provide advice and
assistance.
This office shall be appointive. The person to serve shall be
appointed annually for a one-year term at the Borough reorganization
meeting and shall serve until December 31 of that year or until his
successor is qualified.
The Assistant Prosecutor shall be an attorney at law of the
State of New Jersey.
The salary shall be set by the Borough's Salary Ordinance as
adopted annually unless otherwise agreed to by the Mayor and Council.
