There shall be established in the Borough of Lindenwold a Municipal Court to be known as the "Municipal Court of the Borough of Lindenwold."
The Court shall be presided over by a Judge, appointed by the Mayor and Council for a term of three years from the date of his appointment.
The qualifications of the Judge shall be those as required by law.
There shall be an Administrator of the Court who shall be appointed by the Mayor and Council for a term of three years from the date of his appointment.

The Judge and the Administrator shall receive such annual compensation as the Mayor and Council shall, by ordinance, adopt from time to time.

The Court shall have jurisdiction as follows:
A. 
Violation of motor vehicle and traffic laws.
B. 
Violation of fish and game laws.
C. 
Violation of Borough ordinances.
D. 
Violation of disorderly persons offenses and petty disorderly persons offenses in the New Jersey Code of Criminal Justice.

E. 
Violation of state poor laws.
F. 
Violation of state child laws.
G. 
Violation of state institution and agencies laws.
H. 
Such other functions, powers, duties and jurisdiction in criminal cases heretofore exercised by any Justice of the Peace, Police Justice, Police Magistrate or Recorder.

I. 
That of a Committing Magistrate or Judge.
J. 
Such other jurisdiction as may be provided by law.
The practice and procedure shall be governed by state law, subject to rules as promulgated by the Supreme Court.
All costs and fees, when collected, shall become municipal funds and shall be turned over to the custodian of Borough funds.

All fines and penalties shall be disposed of according to law.

The Judge of the Municipal Court shall determine and approve a fee not in excess of $200 per application for a public defender. The Judge of the Municipal Court of the Borough of Lindenwold is authorized, based upon his or her determination, to waive the fee, or part of the fee, only upon a clear and convincing showing that the application fee represents an unreasonable burden on the person seeking representation. The Judge of the Municipal Court of the Borough of Lindenwold is specifically authorized to require that the application fee be paid at once or in installments over a period of four months or less from the date of the application by the person seeking representation.
