The following words, terms, and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
COIN-OPERATED MACHINE
Any machine operated by the insertion of a coin, dollar, token, or similar item designated for amusement of the person operating the device or the sale of certain products, including, but not limited to, jukeboxes, video and pinball machines, pool, dart boards, shuffleboard, and similar games; excluding cigarette, food and beverage vending machines.
A. 
Required. No person shall distribute, install, lease, or set up any coin-operated machine for use on any premises in the Village without first obtaining a license from the Village Clerk or designee.[1]

B. 
Application.
(1) 
Application for a license under this article shall be made to the Clerk on a form furnished by the Village Clerk or designee. The following information shall be required:[2]
(a) 
The applicant's name.
(b) 
Type, brand, and general description of all machines.
(c) 
Identifying numbers of all machines.
(d) 
Location of machines.

(2) 
The applicant shall consent in such application to reasonable inspection of his devices to determine ownership and character of the device.
C. 
Fee. The fee for a license under this article shall be as set by the Board from time to time for each machine. Licenses may be transferred from machine to machine for a fee as set by the Board from time to time.[3]

D. 
Unlicensed machines. Any coin-operated machines that are found to be unlicensed upon inspection of the establishment shall be charged double the license fee set forth in the fee schedule.[4]

E. 
Posting. All licenses for coin-operated machines shall be attached in plain view upon the respective licensed devices.
