GENERAL REFERENCES

There is hereby established for the Borough of Munhall a Planning Commission which shall be known as the "Munhall Borough Planning Commission."
The Munhall Borough Planning Commission shall consist of nine members who shall be appointed by Council from among eligible residents of the Borough of Munhall as set forth in Section 205 of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, Act of July 31, 1968, Act No. 247 of 1968.[1]

Members of the Planning Commission shall be appointed for a term of four years, or until a successor is appointed and qualified, except that the terms of the members first appointed pursuant to the Act and this chapter shall be as follows: three members for a term of four years; two members for a term of three years; two members for a term of two years; and two members for a term of one year.
The power, authority, obligations and duties of the Munhall Borough Planning Commission shall be as set forth in the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code[1] and as hereafter provided by the Council of the Borough of Munhall.

This chapter is enacted and intended to be in compliance with the provisions of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, as amended,[1] and where the interpretation of terms or provisions of this chapter are not in accordance with or in compliance with the provisions of said Act, the provisions of said Act are intended to be adopted, resolved or enacted by this chapter as fully as though incorporated, set forth and made part of this chapter.
