After the expiration of 30 days following abandonment of or
vacancy in the office of Tax Collector, the Borough Council shall
deputize the Lycoming County Tax Collector to collect all real estate
taxes assessed by Muncy Borough taxes in like manner and with like
authority as would the elected Tax Collector. In the event that the
responsibilities of Tax Collector are deputized to the Lycoming Tax
Collector hereunder, the compensation for performance of such duties
shall be a reasonable amount not to exceed the cost of postage.
