Editor's Note: By Ord. No. 996, adopted 2-19-2002, Ord. No.
503 was amended to extend the term of the North Versailles Township
Sanitary Authority through the year 2041.
It is the desire of the Board of Commissioners of the Township
of North Versailles in the County of Allegheny in the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania and said Board of Commissioners hereby signifies its
intention to organize an authority under the Municipality Authorities
Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended.[1]

In pursuance of said desire and intention, and in conformity
with the terms and provisions of said Municipality Authorities Act
and its amendments, the proposed Articles of Incorporation are hereby
set forth in full, as follows:

ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION
OF THE
NORTH VERSAILLES TOWNSHIP SANITARY AUTHORITY

To the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

In compliance with the requirement of the Municipality Authorities
Act of 1945, approved the second day of May, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended
and pursuant to an ordinance adopted by the Municipal Authorities
of the Township of North Versailles, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania,
that a Municipal Authority be established under the provisions of
the aforementioned law, the Township of North Versailles, Allegheny
County, Pennsylvania, desiring that a Municipal Authority be established
and that a Certificate of Incorporation be issued to said Authority,
does hereby certify:

The name of the Authority shall be: North Versailles Township
Sanitary Authority.

The Authority is formed under the Act of May 2nd, 1945, P.L.
382, as amended.

(c)
|
North Versailles Township Authority has been organized under
the Act of June 28th, 1935, P.L. 463,[1] as amended and is in existence in the Township of North
Versailles. No other Authority has been organized under the provisions
of the Act of June 28th, 1935, P.L. 463, as amended, or the Act of
May 2nd, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended and is in existence within said
Township.

The name of the incorporating municipality is the Township of
North Versailles, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
The names and addresses of the Board of Commissioners of the
Township of North Versailles, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, are

of the Board of said Authority are as follows: (Here followed the

All of whom reside in and are citizens of the Township of North
Versailles, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

Editor's Note: The Municipalities Authorities Act of 1935
(Act of June 28, 1935, P.L. 463) was superseded in 1945, which act
was subsequently repealed. See now the Municipality Authorities Act,
53 Pa.C.S.A. § 5601 et seq.
The said proposed Articles of Incorporation of said Authority
shall be executed by and on behalf of the Township of North Versailles,
by the President of the Board of Commissioners of said Township and
the seal of said Township shall be thereto affixed, attested by the
Secretary of the Board of Commissioners of said Township, and filed
with the Secretary of the Commonwealth. The Solicitor is hereby authorized
and directed to cause to be published the notice of intention to file
the Articles of Incorporation with the Secretary of the Commonwealth
as required by the aforementioned Act.
The project to be undertaken by the said Authority is to acquire,
hold, construct, improve, maintain and operate, own, lease, either
in the capacity of lessor or lessee, sewers, sewer systems or parts
thereof and sewage treatment works, including works for treating and
disposing of industrial waste.

Each member of the Board of North Versailles Township Sanitary
Authority shall receive a salary of $25 for attendance per meeting
of the Board of said Authority, but for no more than 15 meetings per
annum, being 12 regular monthly meetings, and three other, additional
or special, necessary meetings, which salary provision shall be effective
as of the date of the incorporation of said North Versailles Township
Sanitary Authority under this article.
