[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the Township

The audit of the accounts of the Township of North Versailles
shall be made by a certified public accountant registered in Pennsylvania,
or by a firm of certified public accountants so registered, or a competent
public accountant, or a competent firm of public accountants.
After final adoption of this chapter, the Board of Commissioners
of the Township of North Versailles shall annually appoint such Independent
Auditor by resolution adopted at least 30 days prior to the close
of the fiscal year then closing.
Such independent auditor shall have and possess all the powers
and perform all the duties provided under law for elected auditors.
The compensation of any such type of Appointed Auditor shall
be fixed by the Board of Commissioners.
When an Independent Auditor is appointed as herein provided,
the office of any elected auditor is hereby abolished.
