Pursuant to the authority of § 349.07, Wis. Stats.,
the following Town highways shall be through highways, except where
such highways intersect a county, state, or federal highway:

The Town Clerk is authorized and directed to procure and cause
to be installed official stop signs at the entrances to all through
highways from all other highways.
Every operator of a motor vehicle approaching an official stop
sign at an intersection with a through highway shall cause such vehicle
to stop before entering the intersection, unless directed to proceed
by a traffic officer.
Any person, firm or corporation who shall be found guilty of
violating any of the provisions of this article shall be required
to pay a forfeiture of not less than $30 nor more than $60 for each
offense, together with the cost of prosecution, and, in default of
payment of such forfeiture, shall be imprisoned in the county jail
of Washington County until such forfeiture and all costs, including
subsequent costs, have been paid, but not for a greater period than
30 days.
This article shall take effect when official stop signs as required
herein have been installed and when proof of posting this article
in three public places in the Town has been filed and recorded in
the office of the Town Clerk.
