A.
Retail food establishments that engage in food processing, as defined in the Maplewood Code, § 305-1, and apartments, as defined in Maplewood Code § 271-3, located within the Maplewood Village Special Improvement District be and are hereby required to have solid waste pickups on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday of each week. In the event that a legal holiday falls on a regularly scheduled pickup day, the pickup is to be made on the following business day.
B.
Notwithstanding
the foregoing, a retail food establishment or apartment, as herein
defined, located within the Maplewood Village Special Improvement
District using a scaled garbage compactor is hereby required to have
solid waste pickups at least twice per week.
Upon request of the Maplewood Health Officer, each retail food
establishment and apartment located within the Maplewood Village Special
Improvement District shall provide proof of compliance with the provisions
of this article.
Any party violating a provision of this article shall be subject
to a fine of $100 for the first offense, $250 for a second offense
and $500 for the third and any subsequent offense.
