City of Mount Vernon, NY Article I Fees for Use of Hutchinson Field

§ 170-1 Fees established.

A. For purposes of this article "day" is defined as being between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., "night" is defined as being between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. The following per field fees shall be charged for the use of Hutchinson Field, except amateur events sponsored and promoted by the Recreation Department:

(1) Day softball: $25 per hour. Day baseball: $200 for four hours; $65 per hour thereafter.

(2) Night softball: $95 for two hours. Night baseball: $120 for two hours.

(3) Day softball: $25 per hour from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Day baseball: $50 per hour from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

(4) Tournament softball:

(a) Day: $250 per field;

(b) Night: $350 per field.

B. Special rentals may be granted by the Recreation Board, subject to approval by the City Council.

C. Closing hours.

(1) It shall be unlawful to loiter or remain in Hutchinson Field between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. without the prior special permission of the Commissioner of Recreation.

(2) The Commissioner of Recreation is hereby authorized and directed to install at each entranceway a chain or gate which may be secured during the hours Hutchinson Field shall be closed and post at each said entranceway a sign stating clearly and legibly: FIELD CLOSED 11:00 p.m. — 7:30 a.m.

§ 170-1.1 Insurance.

A. No permit shall be issued by the Commissioner of Recreation for the use of Hutchinson Field until the applicant shall have first agreed to indemnify and hold the City of Mount Vernon harmless from any and all claims arising from the applicant's use of the aforesaid field, and the applicant shall agree to compensate the City for any damage done by reason of the applicant's use of the aforesaid field.

B. No permit for use of Hutchinson Field shall be issued, except as hereinafter provided, until the applicant shall have first placed on file with the Commissioner of Recreation a public liability insurance policy, indicating combined single limit bodily injury and property damage coverage in the amount of $1,000,000 for each occurrence, said coverage including the City of Mount Vernon as an additional named insured.
