It is the desire of the Board of Township Commissioners of the
Township of Elizabeth in the County of Allegheny in the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania, and of said Township of Elizabeth, and said Board
of Township Commissioners of said Township, and said Township hereby
signify their intention to organize an authority under the Municipality
Authorities Act of one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five (approved
June 28, 1935, P.L. 463, as amended by the Act of Assembly approved
May 20, 1937, P.L. 739, No. 200, as amended by the Act of Assembly
approved May 17, 1939, P.L. 167).

In pursuance of said desire and intention, and in conformity
with the terms and provisions of said Municipality Authorities Act
and its amendments, the proposed Articles of Incorporation of the
proposed Authority are hereby set forth in full as follows:

ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION

In compliance with the requirements of the "Municipality Authorities
Act of one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five," approved June 28,
1935, P.L. 463, as amended by the Act of Assembly approved May 20,
1937, P.L. 739, No. 200, as amended by the Act of Assembly approved
May 17, 1939, P.L. 167, the undersigned municipal authorities of the
Township of Elizabeth in the County of Allegheny in the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania, desiring that a body corporate and politic be incorporated
under said Act as amended, do hereby, for and on behalf of said Township
and of said body corporate and politic, certify:

The name of the Authority is "Elizabeth Township Authority."

(b)
|
The said Authority is formed under the "Municipality Authorities
Act of one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five" (approved June 28,
1935, P.L. 463, as amended by the Act of Assembly approved May 20,
1937, P.L. 739, No. 200, as amended by the Act of Assembly approved
May 17, 1939, P.L. 167).

No other Authority organized under said Municipality Authorities
Act of one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five, as amended, or under
the Act of Assembly approved December 22, 1933 (Special Session 1933,
P.L. 114) is in existence in or for said Township of Elizabeth.

The name of the incorporating municipality, together with the
names and addresses of its municipal authorities, are as follows:

The name of the incorporating municipalities is Township of
Elizabeth.

The names and addresses of its municipal authorities are: (Here

The names, addresses and terms of office of the first members
of the Board of said Authority are as follows: (Here followed the

The members of the Board of said Authority shall be appointed,
their terms shall be staggered, and vacancies in their membership
shall be filled, in the respective manners provided in said Municipality
Authorities Act of one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five, as amended.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF the Township of Elizabeth has by ordinance
duly enacted caused these Articles of Incorporation to be signed by
John Cheloc, the President of its Board of Township Commissioners,
and its municipal seal to be hereunto affixed, and the same to be
attested by J.W. Copeland, the Secretary of its Board of Township
Commissioners, at Elizabeth Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania,

The said proposed Articles of Incorporation of said Authority shall be executed by and on behalf of the Township of Elizabeth by John Cheloc, the President of the Board of Township Commissioners of said Township, and the seal of said Township shall be thereunto affixed, and the same shall be attested by J.W. Copeland, Secretary of the Board of Township Commissioners of said Township, and the said President and Secretary of the Board of Township Commissioners be and they hereby are further authorized and directed to cause to be published such notices of this Part 3, Subpart A, and to execute on behalf of the Township such other papers and documents, and to do and cause to be done such other matters and things, as may in their judgment be necessary or convenient in connection with the incorporation of said Authority.

The projects to be undertaken by said Authority are (a) the
construction, improvement, maintenance, extension and operation of
a water-works, water supply works and a water distribution system
for all or any part or parts of said Township, including the acquisition
of such land for a water-works site, pumping stations, reservoirs,
filtration plant, pipe lines, fire hydrants, and all other necessary
or convenient facilities and apparatus, by the exercise of the right
of eminent domain, lease, purchase, gift, grant, license or otherwise,
as the Board of said Authority may authorize as necessary for said
project, for a supply of water for domestic, commercial, industrial
and other uses, and for fire protection, in all or any part or parts
of said Township, and (b) such other project and/or projects as the
Township of Elizabeth shall, from time to time by ordinance specify.
