The Town of Orangetown treatment plant will accept only scavenger waste that has been obtained within the confines of the Town of Orangetown. All waste from outside of the territorial limits of the Town of Orangetown will be denied dumping privileges at the Orangetown treatment plant.
[Amended 3-28-1966]
No septic tank or disposal facility within the Town of Orangetown shall be emptied until inspected and approved by the Orangetown Sewer Department. Inspections will be made during a working-day period which is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. prevailing time. Upon the arrival of the Inspector at the job site and approval for pumping, the septic facility may be pumped. Upon completion of the pumping, the Inspector shall seal the intake of the tank truck. Scavenger waste will then be delivered to a designated treatment plant where the seal will be broken by plant personnel, at which time the waste may be discharged into the plant facilities.
