No structure, except an accessory building not over one story in height, shall be demolished in whole or in part in the Town of Orangetown unless and until a permit therefor has been obtained from the Building Department of the Town of Orangetown.

A. 
Every applicant for a permit to demolish a structure, except as an accessory building not over one story in height, in the Town of Orangetown shall pay to the Building Inspector before the issuance of a permit such fees as are established by Town Board resolution.
B. 
Every applicant shall furnish a certificate of public liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 for one person injured and $2,000,000 for each accident and property damage in the amount of $100,000, and such certificate shall include an endorsement covering the Town of Orangetown for the duration of the demolition project.
No structure, except an accessory building not over one story in height, shall be removed from its foundation and no structure of any height shall be brought into the Town of Orangetown for re-erection without a permit therefor issued by the Building Department and no structure of any height shall be moved in or through the Town of Orangetown without a moving permit.

A. 
Every applicant for a permit to remove a structure not an accessory building, and more than one story in height, from its foundation, or to re-erect a structure of any height in the Town of Orangetown, shall pay to the Building Department prior to the issuance of a permit fees as set forth by the Town Board by resolution.
B. 
Every applicant shall furnish a certificate of public liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 for one person injured and $2,000,000 for each accident and property damage in the amount of $100,000, and such certificate shall include an endorsement covering the Town of Orangetown for the duration of the demolition project.
This ordinance shall apply in that portion of the Town of Orangetown outside the limits of any incorporated city or village.

Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be punishable by a penalty as set forth in Chapter 41A of this Code.
This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon publication and posting as required by law.
