Editor's Note: On 10-22-1980, the City of Altoona approved Res. No. 0107-08, which authorized a Joint Municipal Statement of Revival for the Transportation and Motor Buses for Public Use Authority d/b/a/ AMTRAN with the Township of Logan for an additional term not exceeding 50 years.
The Council hereby signifies the intention and desire to organize an authority under the provisions of the "Municipal Authorities Act of 1945," as amended.[1]

The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Altoona, Articles of Incorporation for said Authority, in substantially the following form:
ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION
TO THE SECRETARY OF THE COMMONWEALTH,
COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA
In compliance with the requirements of the Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, known as "Municipality Authorities Act of 1945," as amended, the City of Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania, desiring to incorporate an authority thereunder, does hereby certify:
1.
The name of the Authority is "Transportation and Motor Buses for Public Use Authority."[2]
2.
Said Authority is formed under the provisions of the Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended.[3]
3.
No other authority organized under the Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended, or under the Act of June 28, 1935, P.L. 463, as amended, or under the Act of December 27, 1933, Special Session 1933, P.L. 114, is in existence in or for the incorporating municipality, the City of Altoona, except the Altoona City Authority as created by Ordinance No. 3364, introduced July 20, 1948, and adopted August 3, 1948.
4.
The name of the incorporating municipality is City of Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania.
5.
The names and addresses of its municipal authorities are as follows:[4]

The names and addresses and terms of office of the first members of the Board of the Municipal Authority to be formed hereby are as follows:[5]
7.
The ordinance authorizing the creation of said Authority, certified from the records of the Council of the City of Altoona, together with advertisement of notice of filing these Articles of Incorporation, are each submitted herewith.

The proper officers of the City are hereby directed to cause a notice of this article to be published one time in a newspaper published and of general circulation in the County of Blair as directed by the Act of May 2, 1945, as amended.
The Mayor and the City Clerk are directed to file said Articles of Incorporation, together with the necessary proof of publication, with the Secretary of the Commonwealth, and to do all other acts and things necessary or appropriate to effect the incorporation of the Transportation and Motor Buses for Public Use Authority.
The project which shall be undertaken by the said Authority is: to acquire, hold, maintain, operate, own, lease either as lessor or lessee motor buses, real estate and garage facilities for use in connection with said bus system for the operation of said buses within the territorial limits of the City of Altoona and for such other territory as it may be authorized to serve.
